Car liability insurance (LP: included in the basic rental car fee)
If the customer (the borrower and the driver who requested at the time of rental) causes damage to a third party due to an accident, etc., the customer will be liable for the damage. In order to cover the liability for damages, all of our vehicles are covered by insurance, etc. up to the following amount.
Compensation limit
Up to $500,000 per personal / objective accident
Vehicle Insurance Compensation System (CDW: Collision Damage Waiver)
Note) This insurance is voluntary for customers.
By subscribing to this compensation system, the customer will be charged up to $1,000 for repairs in the event of an accident or vehicle damage.
(Deductible amount $1,000)
CDW subscription fee $20 / day
Disclaimer (ZDS: Zero Deductible Supplement)
Note) This insurance is voluntary for customers. By subscribing to this system, you will be exempt from the $1,000 deductible from the above vehicle insurance coverage system.
(You can only subscribe if you have subscribed to the above vehicle insurance compensation system (CDW).)
ZDS subscription fee $10 / day
LUW: Loss of Use Waiver
Note) This insurance is voluntary for customers.
If the vehicle is damaged due to an accident while you are using the vehicle, you will be charged the following suspension fee even if you have purchased the above CDW or ZDS.
If you can lend it to another customer: $150 / accident
If you cannot lend it to another customer: $450 / accident
LUW subscription fee $8 / day
Personal Risk Insurance (PRI)
Note) This insurance is voluntary for customers.
By joining this system, you can receive the following compensation in the unlikely event of an accident.
Up to $100,000.00 bodily injury insurance coverage per person or up to $300,000.00 each accident.
PRI subscription fee $15 / day
* The insurance company will determine the amount of benefits.
- Those under the age of 21 must buy CDW, ZDS and LUW upon rental.
- Tires, rims and hubcaps are not covered by insurance.
- If you are involved in an accident or hit-and-run, be sure to call the police at the scene and receive the accident certificate.
The accident handling fee of $150 will be borne by the customer.
